Med-Or Italian Foundation organizes the webinar “International Mediterranean Forum”

Med-Or Italian Foundation organized the webinar titled “International Mediterranean Forum” in collaboration with Istanbul University’s Faculty of Political Science.

On May 13, 2026, the Med-Or Italian Foundation, in collaboration with the Faculty of Political Science of Istanbul University, organized the webinar titled “International Mediterranean Forum.”

The initiative brought together professors and academics from Italy and Turkey to discuss the main dynamics shaping the Mediterranean region, as well as the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in an area that is becoming increasingly central to the international geopolitical landscape.

Following the opening remarks by Massimo Khairallah, Director of International Relations at Med-Or, Adam Esen, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science of the Istanbul University, and Çağatay Özdemir, Professor at Istanbul University and member of Med-Or’s International Board, presentations were delivered by Aylin Ece Çiçek (Istanbul University), Riccardo Redaelli (Catholic University of Milan), Muhittin Ataman (Ankara University), Niccolò Petrelli (Roma Tre University), Alessia Melcangi (Sapienza University of Rome), Raffaele Marchetti (LUISS Guido Carli University), Giray Gerim (Istanbul University), and Kıvanç Ulusoy (Istanbul University).

The forum offered an important opportunity for dialogue between Italian and Turkish perspectives on the ongoing transformations in the Mediterranean. It also reaffirmed Med-Or’s commitment to promoting academic exchange, dialogue, and cooperation among scholars and international experts.
