Med-Or and Sparkle complete training course in Saudi Arabia

Med-Or Italian Foundation, in collaboration with Sparkle, has successfully organized an advanced training program in Saudi Arabia in the field of telecommunications, carried out with the Saudi Telecom Company (StC) Group Academy.

An important collaborative project between Med-Or Italian Foundation, Sparkle, and the StC Group Academy—StC Group’s main training center and a leading operator in the regional telecommunications sector—has come to an end. The initiative focused on the development of a high-level training course designed for industry professionals, as part of the international higher education activities that Med-Or has promoted since its establishment.

This project has been particularly significant in the current phase of strengthening Med-Or’s training and project management capabilities, given the importance of its partnership with Sparkle—a major Italian company and a global leader in the strategic field of international digital communications—with the StC Group Academy, the program’s beneficiary, and with the host country, Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom represents a key player in the Middle East and a strategic partner for Italy not only in industrial and economic terms but also in the academic and cultural spheres, where Med-Or has long fostered important relationships with several leading institutions.

StC Group is one of the foremost telecommunications operators in Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East region. The project, divided into several modules held between June and October, focused on training StC operators, officers, and managers at various levels in the telecommunications sector. Alongside Sparkle’s contribution to designing and implementing the partnership, the training activities were supported by leading institutions in specialized education such as IPE Business School, as well as by expert lecturers from both the Italian academic and industrial sectors, who enriched the course with their extensive experience.

The program covered key aspects of the telecommunications field, including retail principles across the consumer, enterprise, and wholesale segments; core and advanced technical activities in the wholesale market; and customer-oriented marketing strategies and sales techniques.

The initiative also forms part of the activities promoting and developing the Med-Or Virtual Academy (MOVA)—a strategic platform for knowledge-sharing and the dissemination of professional skills that supports Med-Or’s numerous training initiatives across the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and the Gulf region.
