The volume Geopolitica, tecnologie e sicurezza nel Mediterraneo. Evoluzione e sfide alla sicurezza globale nel Mediterraneo allargato, tra competizione geopolitica e rivoluzione tecnologica. Quali prospettive per l’Italia?, edited by Enrico Casini, Federico Deiana and Giordana Terracina, is forthcoming from Rubbettino.
The volume represents the final output of the research project developed by the Med-Or Italian Foundation and the Luiss School of Government as part of the “Geopolitics and Technology” call promoted by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione CSF. The project examines the geopolitical and technological transformations shaping the Mediterranean, with particular attention to connectivity, energy security, critical infrastructure, hybrid threats and cybersecurity.
The publication brings together the findings of the research activities, featuring essays on security and the energy transition, cybersecurity, disinformation and cognitive warfare, and the digital revolution. It offers insights into some of the key challenges and opportunities facing Italy and Europe today, while highlighting the increasingly central role of the Mediterranean in the geostrategic dynamics of the 21st century.
