Med-Or Italian Foundation Among the Winners of the “Geopolitics and Technology” Call
The Med-Or project titled “Geopolitics, Technologies, and Security in the Mediterranean”, carried out in collaboration with Luiss SOG, has been selected by the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation and the CSF Foundation within the framework of the second edition of the “Geopolitics and Technology” call.

The Med-Or Italian Foundation emerged as one of the winners of the second edition of the “Geopolitics and Technology” call, promoted by the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation and the CSF Foundation. The winning project, entitled “Geopolitics, Technologies, and Security in the Mediterranean: Evolution and Challenges to Global Security in the Broader Mediterranean, Between Geopolitical Competition and Technological Revolution. Prospects for Italy”, aims to analyze, from a multidisciplinary perspective, the strategic dynamics affecting the Euro-Mediterranean region, with particular focus on the increasing interconnection between technological innovation, security, and geopolitics.
Coordinated by the Med-Or Italian Foundation and developed in collaboration with the LUISS School of Government, the project intends to provide a significant contribution to Italian and European policies within a context of global competition and emerging challenges, especially on the technological front.
By exploring three key thematic areas—Trans-Mediterranean Connectivity; Security and Energy Transition; Non-Conventional Threats—the research and analysis activities, enriched by collaboration with numerous international partners, will culminate in the production of a final scientific publication.
The first meeting for the presentation and launch of the project is scheduled to take place in October 2025.
