Med-Or promotes the travelling exhibition “Mediterranea. Visions of an ancient and complex sea”

On 23 June, the first stage of the exhibition promoted by Med-Or together with Telespazio, MAECI, ESA, ASI and e-GEOS, was inaugurated in Lebanon

On 23 June, at the Nabu Museum in Lebanon, was inaugurated the first stage of the travelling exhibition “Mediterranea. Visions of an ancient and complex sea”, promoted by Med-Or Foundation in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Telespazio, the European Space Agency, the Italian Space Agency and e-GEOS.

The initiative narrates the historical and natural heritage of the Mediterranean together with its peoples, myths and current challenges, through satellite images, photos, videos and site-specific installations, with the aim of creating a synthesis between science and art as well as between past and present. The exhibition will be open to the public until 23 July, and will then continue in Algiers and in other countries in the Mediterranean region throughout 2024.

Med-Or, which has always been committed to foster cooperation, dialogue and research, supported the realisation of the exhibition as a tool for studying the historical and environmental evolution of the countries of the Broader Mediterranean.
