Med-Or supports scientific research: the project with the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome is underway

Med-Or Foundation supported the provision of a PhD scholarship in Bioengineering, Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome

Med-Or Foundation has launched a funding program for scientific research in the medical and health sector, in collaboration with the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. This is the first project realized as a result of the collaboration agreement signed between Med-Or and UCBM.

Specifically, it concerns the provision of a scholarship for PhD research in Bioengineering, Applied Sciences, and Intelligent Systems. This is the first scholarship of a research support program that could see the disbursement of other scholarships in the same sector in the coming years.

The research project that won the selection was presented by an Ethiopian candidate-researcher, already graduated in biomedical engineering, and aims to improve oxygen therapy in Africa through specially designed oxygen concentrators, according to circular economy principles.

The initiative is the first form of collaboration between Med-Or and the Campus Bio-Medico University and fits into the perimeter of the Foundation’s activities for the promotion of higher education and research, particularly in a strategic sector such as the medical one, which also affects the issue of health security.
